Built for 110°+ Summers
Pumps and motors
Summer means long run times, and equipment pads often sit in full sun against block walls that radiate heat. Motors run hot, and thermal overloads trip.
Heaters, heat pumps and chillers
The same pool can feel too cold in March and too warm in August. Heat pumps that also cool, and dedicated chillers, are part of the conversation here.
Plumbing and water
Hard Colorado River water leaves scale on heaters and salt cells. High evaporation makes it hard to tell a leak from the weather.
How It Works
Before Summer Hits / Before Winter Swim
Spring (March–May)
Clean the filter, listen to the pump, check the timer schedule, look for drips at the pad, and test any chiller or heat-pump cooling mode before the first 100° week.
Fall (October–November)
Fire up the heater or spa before the first cold weekend. Clear debris from the heater, check for error codes and clean the filter after summer storms.
Anytime
After wind or a storm, check filter pressure and baskets. After a power outage, confirm the automation schedule came back.
